Our little bun...

Today we went to our big target ultrasound to receive very good news!! Our baby girl is doing just perfectly! The tech said that she is exactly on target and that everything looks great. She is 1lb 8oz right now and doing all sorts of flips in my belly. I always feel so much better after this ultrasound. Its just great to know that everything looks so good. There were two things that our ultrasound tech kept saying; "Perfect...just perfect" and "Look at those lips!!!" (She is going to be thanking her daddy for that one!) We just feel very excited and blessed that everything is going so well! It still hasn't sunk in that there really is another little one coming. Hopefully that will kick in soon before she gets here. Just thought we would update that our little bun in the oven is doing GREAT!!

and....for our other little muffin or our little FURACAO (which means "hurricane" in Portuguese), she is just that!!!! I can't believe how fast Andelyn has been growing! She loves to throw tantrums lately and climb on everything, especially the kitchen table. She is definitely trying to find her independence and doesn't care who tries to get in her way. She is full of so many words from "Elmo" to "boca" to "bebe" to "macaco" to "oh no" to her first sentence, "where'd the kitty go?" she picks and chooses what words she likes in which language. She is so much fun! She has absolutely LOVED playing outside and exploring when there have been sunny days. She has such a sweet side to her and loves to give cuddles. I try to talk to her about a new baby coming every day, but I know she has no clue what I'm talking about. (Guess she'll understand when the little one is here).

I get so overwhelmed with the love I feel when I think how much the Lord has blessed us.

3

How is it that three years seems like an eternity (in a good way)? I feel like I've known you forever and that you have always been a part of my life. Thank you so much for all you mean to me and for being such a wonderful friend, husband, and father. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father knew that we were supposed to be together and made sure that we found each other even if I had to travel half way across the world. Thanks for the happiest three years ever! I am so excited for an eternity with you! I love you!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my wonderful husband!!!

Once Upon a Time.....

Well I just looked at my blog and realized that my background was still from Christmas time, woops! We have been busy yet steady. Vagner decided in less than a week before school started that he was going to go to Weber State. So we had to scramble to get him all set to go. Fortunately, it has all worked out and he is doing great in school! I am so proud of him. He came home the other day and said while sighing..."Its official, I'm a nerd!" He was referring to the fact that he is really actually enjoying school and is really liking to study. (something that if you told him that he would be like this ten years ago, he would have never believed it) He makes me laugh.

Well we just found out this last week that there is a possibility that we might just one day have a household of all princesses. How would that be??

That's right...we just found out that baby number two is going to be another little princess! We are so excited. Names this time around have been a little harder, but we have some in the lead right now. Vagner keeps saying that no matter what we are going to have to have a little Vagner Jr. in the mix one day. The funny thing that no one ever sees is the little smirk on Vagner's face when he is the only one Andelyn wants. She bawls now every time he even leaves the room. He loves the fact that his little princess is head over hills for him. We both know that all of his little girls are going to be like that. What can I say... I don't blame them. (we can't help it) I got caught in his spell too :)
Thanks to everyone who helped me through that first trimester. Its never pleasant for me because I am quite naseous and just feel crummy, but all I have to do is get past those first 12 weeks and I feel great!!!

Where'd my baby go??

Wowzer!! Well November definitely was our month and a great month it was!!! My wonderful husband and us received some great news after great news!! First of all Vagner is now a step closer to starting college which is a huge step. Also, my husband got a GREAT new job. Something that literally just fell in our laps thanks to great family members who keep us in their thoughts. This is something that we have been praying for for a long time. His job includes benefits and everything. (No one really understands the importance of that until you have gone for a long time without insurance for their family!) I am so happy and proud of my husband!!!
(My very own Bob the Builder)
I am still so grateful everyday that Heavenly Father made it possible and wanted us so badly to be together!! Anyway November was definitely a month to give thanks!

Now to answer the question to this post... Where'd my baby go? There are two answers, first look at my baby girl!!!! She is all grown up!! She's not my baby girl anymore :(
I love to just watch her play and see those little wheels in her head start to turn. Her little giggle is absolutely priceless!! She still absolutely ADORES her papai (daddy) and now cries everytime he has to leave for work. I know she is going to grow up with so many of his wonderful qualities and I am so grateful!!! She has even wanted to start drinking "chimarrao" (the staple to Vagner's culture hahahaha). Oh brother what am I going to do. She is just so curious! She wouldn't stop hounding Vagner until he let her try some of it. And of course Vagner is a sucker for those puppy eyes. Such a proud daddy :/
And... to answer the second part of the question, well actually.... I think that the picture can explain it better........

Yep that's right IN MY BELLY!!! Baby Soares number 2 is on its way and we couldn't be happier!!! I am not very far along, only 8 weeks, but if you think about it that's already two months!!! It sounds so good to say that! I have been quite naseous the last few weeks but I just keeping saying to myself this too shall pass! My poor husband and daughter have been very patient with me because a woozy and irritated pregnant person is really not someone that's fun to be around, but I try. I think Vagner really gets the brunt of it, but that's why I love him so much!!
Well thats all of our news for this month! I know I kinda rambled, but that's what you get!!

Halloween @ our cave!

I seriously love this time of year, including Halloween. Since this was officially Vagner and Andelyn's first Halloween to dress up we decided to go as a family of cavemen. We didn't really have anywhere to go besides our ward party, but it was fun anyway. Hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Vagner sure had a blast. (I think he especially enjoyed the "trunk or treat" part) I love my caveman and little pebbles :)

Birthday Bash!!!

Well... a lot has been going on lately and I finally feel like its starting to wind down. First of all our "baby" just turned one year old and I still can't believe it!

Its kind of a bitter sweet for me.. bitter because my baby isn't my baby any more and is just growing up too fast and of course sweet because of all the fun wonderful memories that we have had with her this last year. She is our greatest blessing!!! Andelyn had her 12 month appointment this week and the poor thing knew exactly what was going to happen the second we got into the dr's office, poor thing. Despite her screaming and crying, she is a very healthy girl! She is now 30inches long in the 80% percentile and 21 lbs 10 oz in the 50% percentile. She is really close to walking and will take about five steps by herself until she realizes she is done. She loves playing and laughing and of course is still into everything! But we still love her even more every day!

We have always said that we want our children to love their culture and know where they came from, so we have decided to do all we can to keep with Brazilian and American traditions. Including the huge one year birthday party. I know some people think that we are crazy, but to us its important and tradition . We decided to have a huge brazilian birthday bash for Andelyn. It turned out great! We had a lot of fun with many friends and family.

Andelyn had so much fun too which made it all worth it.

95% of our guests came in their brazilian attire which made it even better! Everything was in green, yellow, or blue.
I made the cake and was quite proud of it!!!

I almost felt like I was back at home in Brazil (just without our good brazilian friends, but we had quite a few there).

Thank you to all those especially my grandparents and friends who helped out so much for the party I know it was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun. So THANKS!! And of course thanks to my wonderful husband who is so great and always supports me even in my crazy ideas!(even though this one was kind of your fault :) )

PARABENS ANDELYN WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

lil' miss snaggle tooth!

okay okay I know, I am horrible at keeping up with my blog, so I will try to share a few highlights within the last few months. First of all... Andelyn just had her nine month check up! I can't believe how fast she is growing! She is now 18 lbs. 13 oz in the 50% and 28 3/4 inches in the 75%. She is now our little vampire! At 7 months she got her first tooth. We are definitely not your "average" family so of course Andelyn can't be either, her first tooth wasn't your normal bottom front, oh no it was her top left side tooth, then her bottom front teeth came in and now her top right side tooth. Too bad its not Halloween :) Zoom in on those teeth! Its hilarious!

Over the fourth we went to Centerville for our annual breakfast and parade with our family and last minute decided to go to Wyoming. It was a lot of fun! And of course the Weber State Fireworks. I absolutely love being with my husband and baby girl! I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world!!!

I wish that these pictures did justice to show Andelyn's personality. But there are a few things that you can see for sure...she loves to smile, loves her daddy, is happy as a bug because is finally crawling and standing up, she is just the sweetest thing, and so much more. She loves to scream and talk in her own little language, she claps and says "YAY", immitates you when you cough she says mamae (which means mommy and i'm sure she has no idea what she is saying.) We got her to even say papai (daddy) the other day. She is just so much fun and brings so much happiness into our lives!

Well I hope that'll catch us up for a little bit :)
